Drawing on her own biography, her artistic practice addressesthemes such as vulnerability, resilience, transience, and mortality. By usingfamiliar materials, she invites a wide audience to form a personal connectionwith her work and to reflect on their own experiences. Her pieces, oftenfragile in appearance, conceal an inner strength—both of the materials and thesubjects they explore.Sophia’swork engages with issues that are often overlooked in a society driven byefficiency and performance, creating space for encounters with aspects thatfrequently fade into the background. Her artistic research centers on identity, transformation, and materiality—often explored through collaborative andexperimental formats.
