Berenguer

Mariona Berenguer (1992, Barcelona) lives and works in Berlin. She graduated with honors from the Massana School in Barcelona and with an extraordinary prize from the University of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Mariona Berenguer’s practice spans a wide range of materials and techniques, primarily articulated through sculptural and installation-based works. With a critical and poetic gaze, she takes conflict as a point of departure, exploring fundamental tensions within human experience such as desire, loss, and identity. In recent years, her work has focused on investigating how labour —now moved to the center of human consciousness—shapes creative processes and the value and belief systems underlying them. Her current research turns toward the notion of the future, marked the restless pulse of the present. Her works have been presented in national and international exhibitions, including: Halle für Kunst (Lüneburg, 2025); Fundació Úniques (Barcelona, 2025); NAVE Gallery (Lisboa, 2024); Expo Chicago (Chicago, 2024); Pablo’s Birthday (New York, 2024); Galerie im Saalbau (Berlin, 2024); Kunst&Co (Flensburg, 2023); GROVE (Berlin, 2023); Raccoon Projects (Barcelona, 2022); Chez Plinio (Milan, 2022); Sainte Anne Gallery (Paris, 2022); Gr_und (Berlin, 2021), Felicia Fuster Foundation (Barcelona, 2021); Kunstquartier Bethanien (Berlin, 2019); LOOP Festival (Barcelona, 2019); and XXI Bienal d’Art Contemporani Català (around Catalonia, 2018). For her artistic practice, she received the Felicia Fuster Foundation Grant (2019), the NEUSTARTKULTUR Fellowship for Visual Artists (2022) and the Project funding by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Research and Culture (2023). This year, her work was shown in The Screen at Art Brussels and in a solo booth with NAVE Gallery at ARCO Lisboa.
