Elias Klein Born 1995 in Strasbourg, France. Illustrator, painter, and author, Elias Klein graduated at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee. In his colorful drawings and paintings, Elias Klein invites viewers to discover scenes and memories floating between France and Germany that have deeply shaped the artist. Each work reads like a page from his diary: an introspective approach that allows the artist to shed light on the past in order to better understand the present and his own identity.
Both the composition of the drawings and the choice of colors are inspired by the Japanese woodblock prints of Hokusai, as well as the works of the German Expressionists Nolde and Kirchner.
